There is nothing that I am aware of, other than suppliers systems, from setting the rate to zero which makes it the same as a credit meter. Why not switch today? What's the worst that can happen? If you report success in three weeks' time then it will help others.0

(it's the longest one from Shedman).
Just to clarify, mine isn't a complex E7 meter of the type that Tastyhog described.0 -

Gerry1 said:If you start the switch and it fails then surely you'd be no worse off? If it's blocked you can then start a formal complaint procedure, so I can't see why it's not worth a go.nottsphil said:Gerry1 said:nottsphil said:spiro said:Here is something you could try but no guarantee it will work. I think it far safer to proceed as per https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/78160086/#Comment_78160086
(on the superior v-bulletin forum, you could quote, highlight then copy a whole post and just paste it into any other thread. Here, you just get the link.)
Doing it that way ensures I'm not forced to have a new meter; if SSE won't keep an existing customer happy, then I'll know for sure that they won't do it for one who's decided to move to Neon Reef.0
