Don't give up .Review took my son down from previous award, enhanced to standard care, He was 3points short .Asked on phone for a MR, 2wks later DWP contacted us by phone to say they had reinstated it back to previous award. Received the letter today and he had got 4 more points to give enhanced. Mobility not an issue. So a MR can overturn some awards.1

Well, it’s been a stressful few weeks dealing with my wife’s MR but wanted to give an update.
On receiving the assessors report we went through it picking up on all the ‘inaccuracies’ and ‘misunderstandings’ it contained. We did a lot of reading about descriptors, case law etc and then sent a long letter challenging the assessors report, and explaining what descriptors we felt applied to my wife and the points we felt she should have been given. We also included a letter from her GP, her patient summary record and a letter from me.
The brown envelope arrived at the weekend - she’s now been awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility!
We’re so relieved - the whole process exhausted my wife but she was determined to fight for what she felt was right. So, to everyone else in a similar position, don’t give up.
Thank you to everyone who gave advice - it was truly appreciated and a big help.

Excellent news.
Out of interest how did the final points stack up, and for which activities?
