Refund via credit card

Hi I paid a deposit for my wedding and band via credit card. Due to corona we've had to cancel several times. I want to just get a refund but neither source are willing to refund. I was wondering could I claim it back from the credit card especially as it won't be going ahead any time soon.

You'd only be able to claim back from your credit card company if the suppliers were in breach of contract, but it sounds like they're not, unless they're refusing to honour any cancellation provisions in the Ts & Cs you signed up to?  Obviously it's not your fault that Covid-19 messed up your plans but it's not theirs either, so if they're happy to stick to the original arrangements but at a later date then that's probably as good as you'll get....

If it was them who cancelled i e they said we are closed and we can no longer do your wedding then you are able to apply for a refund

 if on the other hand it was you who said that you didn't want to get married because of covid even though the Venue was open then you will not be able to have a refund
