(I am as surprised as others that a single MCB is protecting everything in the kitchen, tho' - lights on a - what? - 32A MCB?!)

It's a common RCD, then separate MCBs. As simple as that.

Someone has in the past taken a shortcut. The cooker/hob should be on a separate dedicated circuit. The sockets should be either on a separate circuit for the kitchen or as part of the downstairs ring main. The lights should be on a lighting circuit.

A RCD, common for several circuits with their own MCBs, isn't a shortrcut.

    I hope so, Grumb.

I was going by the OP's "I'm not sure exactly how the electrics are wired but the outlet that the oven is hard wired to is also connected to the kitchen lights and multiple plugs in the kitchen."

sounds like the problem is with your electrics.  ask the HA to send an electrician round to test the wiring as the oven keeps tripping.
