Hi there,
I received a letter from lloyds Cardiff saying they are sorry for delay etc but will send a cheque within 28 days. Letter dated 16th November, arrived 4th December, still no cheque. I haven't rung them yet as praying it's legit. Anyone else had such a late response?

Increased lockdowns slowed things up again as call centres closed and staff are back working from home and work taking longer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1

Should I ring or hold fire? Just concerned that there will be a deadline by which the cheque must be paid in as was the case with a Barclays ppi payout.0

Hold fire. It will be quicker and less stressful for you.1
