CST LAW LETTER BEFORE CLAIM

Hello all..i’ve gone through multiple threads here trying to find out how best to approach this but couldn’t seem to find anything that directly relates to my situation. If there is something and i’m missing it completely, apologies in advance. (First post)
I received a Letter before claim from CST LAW on behalf of UK PARKING CONTROL LTD for a windscreen ticket I got nearly 4 years ago (start of 2017). I have zero paperwork from the letters UK parking control LTD sent trying to chase the payment as they’re obviously a private company and the carpark I received the ticket was owned (as far as i was aware) by my workplace. CARGIANT. If you were an employee with a car they gave you a tiny circle to stick on your dash with your reg. It was hand written and they made them completely unofficially. No application process etc and if you didn’t have one but wanted to park, you could get a temp one for the day or however long you needed it for. I got the ticket in question on a day i’d lost my permit and had to go and get a temporary one. Process takes maybe 15-30 minutes based on how large the plot is, where the car park is, security writing it up, etc. I was without a permit for at most 1 hour. When i came to put the temp on my car, i had a windscreen ticket. I ignored it completely as did most others at my work who received these tickets. The fact there were ticket inspectors in a car park that requires a pin code to enter (forgot to mention you literally can’t enter without entering a pin code at the entrance barriers) was ridiculous to us all. They chased the ticket and offered a reduced fee, then passed the debt on a while after. can’t remember to who but of course the original £100 increased to £160 which is what this letter before claim is now demanding (as well as the £15 fee for CST law’s “losses”).

What am I meant to reply? I want to dispute the debt, obviously, but how should I reply? Do I deny I was the driver at the time? Do I tell them i worked at cargiant at the time and can produce evidence if need be - as well as the fact that the carpark is restricted UNLESS you have the pin, given to you once you start employment..and that the ticket was given on a day i didn’t have my permit but needed to get the temp one from security. any advice would be helpful as the letter is dated 24th december and I need to reply within 30 days? I’ve seen some threads say 14 so not sure on that either as this is a genuine LBC from what i’ve seen combing through other posts. I’m not massively clued up on any of the laws regarding private parking, pre direction, anything like that so simplify things for me if you can please..

Welcome!
You must have missed the NEWBIES thread - pinned near the top of the first page of the forum - as this has a huge section on LBAs.
1) Paperwork - so you threw it out? Yes or No.
2) Send a SAR to the claimant PPC. Takes 5 minutes.
3) So no appeal to show you were authorised to park there...
4) Obviously you dispute the debt, seek debt advice so they msut put on hold for 30 days, and join the CST LAW thread, as there is a GROUP thread for dealing with this latest set of incompetents.2 -

PLEASE READ THIS ABOUT CST LAWCST letters' forum group thread

Because CST are fakers ..... that's the added £60, they will fail in court.
This is a letter before claim so reply asking for their legal authority to add £60 and £15.
So far, we have never seen them reply to this because they have no answer and all they can is fabricate and mislead
Have to say, am very surprised UKPC are using CST. Clearly UKPC have not read the above thread .... they really should do0 -
You only needed to read one thread and no need to start new ones.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
