Very specific this. We are moving to a house where BT do not supply broadband, only Virgin. We currently have BT Complete WIFI with the black discs (not the white ones which are sold as packs separately). Has anyone had any experience of using the black discs with Virgin BB?

Your Virgin Hub will have a built-in wifi router and as long as any devices connected to it can be allocated an IP address they should work. I think trial and error will have to be the rule here. I did use a separate router set in repeater mode with an older model Virgin Hub for better coverage and that worked OK. Another alternative, given that the current Virgin Hubs can be set to modem only mode is to use a separate more powerful router which is what I do as the Hub was far from ideal. I now get full house coverage and some outside from within a single storey home office on the side of the house, which certainly was not the case with the Virgin Hub alone.0

I would have thought the BT WiFi disks would only work with the BT SmartHub 2, so in theory you could use the Virgin Hub (with WiFi switched off) to supply ethernet to the BT SmartHub (with WiFi switched on).2
