fitted wardrobe in a recess

Just moved to a new home which has got a recess for a wardrobe. As shown in the top view sketch below, one side is 600mm and other is 500mm. Ikea Pax are worth a look too. We did similar to you without the offset depth conundrum. We also didn't use the sliding doors but normal opening ones. I made plinths and filler pieces from an extra door. The quality is usual Ikea so might not last forever. But the way I see it is they weren't expensive and when the kids have moved out we can probably get something better!
