    There is an alternative electrician registration body: ELECSA.  So not all qualified electricians will be with NICEIC.

    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    It is only equivalent to the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme.
    Only go for an NICEIC Approved Contractor or an ECA Registered Member.

    Quite right.  NICEIC and ELECSA are now owned by the same company.
    There used to be several companies.  But after a load of buyouts, there are now only two, operating under several different names.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
