Food Vacuum Sealer

I'm looking for recomendations for a Vacuum Sealer as I'm interested in ways to cut costs. For example, have been buying pre-cooked Ham at £2.00 + for 4 slices, but can get a 900g joint for around a fiver, which would last us for 2 or 3 weeks
Looking at the reviews on Amazon is quite daunting

I do that for ham as well. A 700g joint does me for 4 weeks lunchtime sandwiches working out at 15p per day for the ham.
I also buy meat in bulk from our local butcher, split it and vacuum pack it in meal size amounts. Vacuum sealing really cuts down on the amount of freezer burn that stuff suffers from.
I have an AICOK sealer that I got from Amazon1 -
Definitely money-saving in the long run. Check Parkers food machinery.-1

I had the Amazon Basics vacuum sealer which is about £25 when in the sales and it lasted probably about 6 years of light use and in theory could do jars but didnt come with the hose to do so. Was still working in the end but its suction had got weaker.
Replaced it with Anova "pro" model which is a bit pricey but have been using their sous vide stick for years and happy with it. The one thing I like about it above the Amazon one is that it does a double line seal automatically which for sous vide is probably more important as you want redundancy in case on seal fails... dont want to come back and find your whole pork leg has been in the water for 36 hours0
