Nightmare switch to Shell Energy.

I used MSE big switch and on the 8th December my switch to Shell Energy was completed. I'm on Economy 7 and have readings on my meter corresponding to day and night rates. I went online to submit my opening readings and couldn't so I used the online chat to submit them stressing that R01 was my night reading.  I was told  "We will email you regarding the readings, it can be in around 5 - 10 days, it will depend when we can submit."  I went online to check and found that the agent had put in my readings but labelled R01 as day not night as I had said and stressed. Incidentally no email received.
I phoned on the 8th December and after a long wait spoke to someone who asked me to do a two hour test to prove which was my day and night readings. I did it that day and submitted my readings via email as requested. These confirmed R01 to be my night readings. No proper reply only an automated response.
A further online chat followed and I was told "The flows were already sent to the industry so we will not be able to change them now. We will need to raise a dispute to amend the initial meter readings"
I have now been bombarded with requests to submit my readings for my first bill but when I try to it still shows R01 as day and my initial readings are labelled as invalid with industry supply ones accepted instead. One of these  opening industry supplied ones is higher than my present readings so if I submitted my readings it would imply that I'd been around the meter. The initial industry supplied readings are dated 8th Dec online but 01 January 1970 on the app. When I phoned again the agent didn't have a clue what to do and suggested I did the two hour test which I'd already done. I'm stuck in a cycle. I have asked to raise a complaint both via online chat and email but no confirmation has been received. I believe they have eight weeks before I can go to Ofgem.
Any other advice would be welcome.
