Zero / free standing charge tariff without smart meter?
Hi, wondered if other than Utilita, which requires smart meters, any other energy supplier has a zero or near zero standing charge tariff?

Ebico did last year, not sure if they still do. Had dreadful experience with them regarding transposed economy 7 meters, but if you don't have those it may be worth looking at.ETA, it may be worth you contacting your water supplier, Anglian didn't charge us a standing charge when our house was empty after our tenant moved out and before we moved in.Make £2024 in 2024

Sadly ebico is closing down and not accepting new customers. Otherwise would have been my first choice.
Any ideas of who has the lowest standing charge otherwise?
Good shout regarding water - we are with affinity water.0 -
AFAIK even Ebico had a minimum charge which was equivalent to a standing charge. Why not just find a supplier with a very low standing charge - I'm with Neon Reef at 13p/day which is less than £50 a year.
Over eight months that's just under£35 - is it really worth getting stressed over £35Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
At his time of year you'd be very unwise to switch the gas and electricity off, except perhaps in the case of a flat with others below and to the sides. Better to bung the expected low kWh usage figures into Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which'? and see what results you get.0
