Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 17

Hi!
@cathybird, please can I join in? I'll go for 31 AF days this month. If it's not too late, I'd like to update my total for the year?
I was AF from 27/6/21 - 24/4/22 (almost 10 months!)...I survived xmas and new year but the summer vibes got me and before I knew it I was drinking as much as I'd always done. I stopped again on 7/9. There's been one blip, since then (one glass of wine before I realised my stupidity) which I'm not counting.
I think that puts me on 137 AF days this year, which I'm actually quite pleased about.
Thanks in advance for all the help and support I know I'll get from this thread!

@hazeldreams, really good to have you back
There aren't really exclusions in this challenge though so alas I think your rogue glass of wine probably does have to count? xx

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good September! I don’t know what happened to the last month, I stopped counting AF days but I suspect I didn’t reach my target 🤦♀️Have decided to (unofficially) do Sober October. I have done 6-8 weeks AF previously a number of times, so I know I ‘can’ do it 😬 The only hiccup in the works is my birthday, but I’m telling myself that it will be fun to have a sober birthday weekend for the first time in about 25 years?!My main alcohol trigger is always cooking dinner so I do find it challenging to get around that as it’s not like I can just go for a walk or do something different 🤔
Anyway, after all the waffle, I’m going for 31 in October, thank you so much @cathybird xBooks read 2023 - 49/756 -

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome hazeldreams and good luck with Sober October. I am going to try to join you but my husband has a significant birthday at the end of the month so we'll see.
2/25 please cathybird. Thank you. X
