Sadness reigns, RIP Elizabeth II, may she rest in peace and rise in glory. Long live the King.

Sadness also after attending a neighbours funeral. He also had a life well lived. I gave a lift to another neighbour who's wife is in Hospice (she has Parkinsons), and he's waiting to hear that arrangements are in place for her to come home so long as a schedule is in place for the District Nurse to attend each day.

6/18 bought a new telly with probably all the money I haven't spent on beer (no idea really but I wanted one for ages) and the old plasma was a bit passed it.

Congratulations on your five months alcohol free Season of Mist - well done! That's a great achievement. An odd week here. Not trying to be AF at the moment with my mother's funeral looming next Thursday. Felt somewhat broadsided by the Queen's death; I expect I would have been sad even without dealing with my father relearning to walk with a frame and the funeral etc. The house move seems to be progressing smoothly but it will take longer than I hoped so another hotel-based week next week which has definitely made it easier to drink daily.

Gig tonight with the band I auditioned for on Tuesday - 33 songs - unrehearsed!  Talk about in at the deep end! It's enough to drive a man to soda and lime - oh, wait!

11 please. Sorry to hear so many of the regulars on here having a hard time. Let's just hope for some better days ahead.

I'm still not in a good place rn just trying to get through each day, keep my business ticking over and concentrate on spending time with my family. We were saddened and surprised to hear of the Queen passing especially as she'd welcomed Truss just two days earlier.
