@Coveredinbees!!!! It's a frustrating thing to do. Have to find the right people - similar ability, want to play the same music, sociable enough (no boozers or druggies, no egos) then there's the "Oh I can't do Fridays" or "I'm on holiday for 6 weeks" type. Doing dep's is stressful though, I've got one this Saturday I didn't know about until today. So I have 33 songs to learn and play with no rehearsal! I reckon I could do 25 straight off. Youtube is my friend here. It's enough to drive someone to drink - but not me (anymore).
Plus one next Saturday in Luton but I have dep'd for them before - and I think they want me to join. We shall see.
(dep = deputise).
Back to the thread - I don't go away until Sept 29 so I could easily make a Gold Star this month. If I don't, it's my fault entirely. I'm s/catering so I can stock up with alc'free in the fridge.
