13/20 for me please cathybird. In order to achieve the 20 days this month I will have to drink only one day for the rest of this month. That means I have to either have a Friday or Saturday AF. Hmm. That’s tricky for me. Mostly because I’m just used to having a drink at the weekend.I’m delighted I’ve managed most of March without a midweek drink and have kept sun-thurs AF.What I’m wondering is why I find it a frightening prospect. Why does the idea of not drinking feel uncomfortable and scary? Is it because alcohol is quite simply a drug and I’m a bit addicted both physically and psychologically?3

Why do I say 'psychologically'? It's habit. Apparently 3 weeks of breaking a habit and you're on the road to giving up alc', gambling, chocolate cake, mint choc-ices (ahem!) - whatever - it can be done - and I'm the evidence! If I csan do it - you can too.Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4 -
calling in early for my next emoji please ... 21/27
@Slowdown remember that you've been in the habit of having a drink for so long, so it's going to take effort to change that habit, but you are doing well so give yourself credit for that. What would you say to a friend who was trying to break that habit? Be that friend to yourself :-)
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3
