I'm beginning to feel human again, thanks.
Youngest son messaged me last night that he's got Covid, boo.
He's a dealership mechanic, so no working from home for him. Mind you, he worked throughout lockdown on emergency vehicles.
19/27 for me today please. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4 -

Hello 16/18 no alcohol all weekend, couldn't taste it anyway. Hopefully 1 of the kids is back to school tomorrow, you wouldn't really know they had the lurg the way they were running around today. I haven't even bothered doing a test as I just feel crap still.
Nothing to see here, move along.3 -
satchmo1 said:18/27 for me today please. I'm full of cold (not Covid according to two lateral flow tests), so feeling miserable. I'm not a patient patient.
out of interest which tests have you got, I did a test with the up the nose only test and was clear but the nose and throat ones showed up straight away

I've been missing in action, but actually been doing really well!
I am up to 20 for this month now! And 75 for the year!
I do seem to be getting used to life without the booze. I'm still not committing to never drinking again though, that just seems scary. The one time I drank at the beginning of March put me off for a while though.
I don't really think about drinking, or if I do, it's fleetingly. Actually woke up this morning and was thinking how on earth I managed drinking during the week as I don't feel like I could cope now. I wake up tired, but it feels like more of a sleep than when I'd been drinking if that makes sense.
Even the idea of going away and not drinking doesn't fill me with dread. As in I can actually think a holiday might be okay without booze. But again, not committing to it and if I feel like drinking, I will. Have a caravan holiday booked for May and a lovely hot holiday away in October.
