It's definitely some kind of winter pud, with what looks like cherries on top though, which I didn't think was a Christmas pudding thing? They could be holly berries though and it could be an early Christmas pudding (I guess people would normally start cooking the Xmas cake and pudding around about now along with other prep for Christmas). Or it could be a steamed chocolate pudding with cream and kirsch-soaked cherries on top!
