Ryanair Ireland flught

To be fair to Ryanair, I have never had a problem with them. Have accepted I booked because it was cheap and adjusted my expectations accordingly. My daughter had flights booked with Ryanair for Tenerife in July. She accepted vouchers when the flights were cancelled and thought that was the end of it obviously not knowing if/when she could book again. Last week she found she had been refunded in full! Amazing considering the comments and problems many seem to have. Still not quite sure why she got the refund but she is happy about it. Surely we can’t be the only ones who haven’t had a bad experience with Ryanair? If we are, lucky us 😂0

oscarward said:To be fair the only time I flew with Ryanair it was because they were the only airline flying to Londonderry from my local airport when I had a meeting there. They served the purpose in that the flights were on time but I didn’t enjoy the flights much. Didn’t particularly like easyJet either if I’m honest.
To Kyiv, because unsurprisingly they were about £300 cheaper than BA, also fly into the main airport and I needed to self-connect onto another flight to Minsk (if going to the city Wizz use a much better airport). I'm more than happy to take immigration checks and a 20 minute walk to the non-budget terminal to save £300, others may not be.
Not overly impressed with Easyjet's (or BA's) hard product for the money you pay, and have to say that Wizz and Ryanair have the largest network to the places I want to go (Wizz slightly more destinations), but Wizz's product per £ is far better. Another non-budget carrier I've been happy with is LOT.
Also not impressed with Ryanair's bait and switch refund tactics, and therefore they are not a company I will be using again.
For reference, last year (which was a weird year for sure), I completed 24 flights on 20 different routes, with 8 operated by Belavia, 6 by LOT, 6 by Wizz and 4 by Ryanair.💙💛 💔0 -
I have used Ryanair in the past to fly direct from Edinburgh to Luxembourg to purchase Cigarettes.
£50 for Front Row, Priority Boarding and 2 Carry on Bags was a great deal and they were nearly always on time.
I got a shock when I had to organise flights for 2 from Birmingham to Dublin and back last year to join an American Vacation that started in Dublin with BA booked via LM.com. The minute you start requiring hold baggage the fares escalate to BA and dearer realms.
It was about £300 return for both of us with a hold bag each and no other perks. Luckily they cancelled one of the Flights so I got a full refund via a chargeback. The LM.com American Adventure was cancelled (by me) and involved another successful chargeback.
Had Ryanair not cancelled one of my Flights I would have been £300 down.1 -

Just posting to say that we had (VERY cheap) flights to Ireland on Christmas Eve cancelled by Ryanair. Given the choice of vouchers or a refund, we opted for a refund. The full amount was credited back to us on 9th Jan, which is pretty good going.
They were much quicker in refunding us than Cunard after they cancelled our cruise.0 -
