Masonry bee holes?

I noticed an area of brickwork that needs repointing. Are the holes from masonry bees? There's lots of them but only down this one strip of wall.

Could be where the line pins were knocked in to run in the brickwork for an extension.1

If he's lucky he might find this in the cavity.

This should give you some information on the facts and how to address a problem if you have one.Click on How do I address masonry bee damage in old wallsIt gives the time of year if it is them, that they would make or use the holesBut I agree, if those are the only holes and in a straight line it looks like human activity. If there are others elsewhere it might be bees.
