Laundry capsules / pods in short wash cycles ?

Since starting to use short wash programmes, I've noticed the clothes smell more strongly of detergent / conditioner.
In that case is it a bad idea to use pods in the short cycles because perhaps they release the chemicals more slowly?
Maybe I should run extra rinses, which would sort of defeat the object of short cycles . .

Pods are a poor idea, they don't dissolve properly, just a gimmick.1

Even in longer cycles I find the pods never dissolve and not only stick to the inside plastics of the machine, but sometimes clothes too. And they really seem to stick in face masks.1

Much of the time, you can get away with using less than the recommended dose anyways. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
I gave up on pods. On a short wash, or one with less water, they sometimes don't dissolve properly, leving blue "snot" on the laundry.Powder from a box, or liquid from a bottle, works fine. It's probably cheaper too.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1
