Once a Premium Bond is eligible for draws, it will take part in each month’s draw provided you still hold the Bond on the first day of the month

but doesn't elaborate in terms of whether they differentiate between the start and end of the day....

Thanks anyway this month withdrawing today will probably take just as long as withdrawing on Monday.

I actually asked NS&I this yesterday on Twitter: If I've held premium bonds for the whole of December but make a withdrawal today, will those bonds still be in the January draw or do I need to wait until the draw has actually taken place?

If the Bonds were held before 1 December, then January will be the first draw you're eligible for. The January prize draw has already been done so if you make a withdrawal now, it will have no effect on any winnings you receive for January.
