He hasn't scammed us, but attempted. I'll explain again, with more details if needed - I thought the details in my first post made it obvious?Chino said:
You keep accusing this person of being a scammer yet haven't explained what scam - if any - he has perpetrated.MrBrindle said:Trust me, we had a good argument about it when I found out how obviously this looked like a scam profile!
The seller's profile was only created 2 days ago, has a male name, and lives in Gloucester. His profile consists of a profile picture of a dog, a cover image of a lizard. He has one more picture, which is a screenshot of an instagram page of a lady who runs estate agents in Cardiff. These are all obviously random. He says he works as musician 'DJ Bully', which when you click through to the artist page, is a German male DJ based in Germany - I actually found the real facebook profile of this German guy on the artist page, so it's obviously not this 'guy' from Gloucester.
He uploaded a bunch of items at really bargain prices, but when we asked about more details and images for one particular item - he didn't know and couldn't take more images.
When he sent his bank details, the sort code points to a 'bank' called Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd, based in Newcastle. Upon googling this 'bank', there are nearly 100 negative reviews about people who have been scammed by people who have these accounts - usually on gumtree, facebook or preloved. They've bought items, then paid a Wirecard Card Solutions account, but never received the goods.
So yes, he did attempt to scam us, but thankfully we noticed before we sent any money.0 -
He tried to sell something to you, but couldn't provide enough details for you. He's using a bank which has bad reviews. You dodged a bullet, just walk away and forget it1
