Best Cable for Soundbar and old TV?

I've got a pretty old Panasonic Plasma TV and the sound is muffled/distorted when we watch certain stuff. Can't afford a new TV so got a cheap deal on a Sony Soundbar (HT-SF250). The soundbar has a HDMI Arc input, optical and USB inputs. The TV doesn't haven't HDMI Arc and only a normal HDMI, headphone jack and red/black inputs (RCA?!). Is there a cable or box I can get to make it work? THANK YOU!

I'd suggest that's more to do with the broadcast and I can't see getting new sound equipment is going to solve this issue. There are some shows broadcast, usually American shows on channels such as Sky Living, that just sound rubbish and really difficult to make out.

You need to return your sound bar and get something (maybe cheaper) to connect to your TV. Possibly something like this....BOMAKER COMPACT SOUNDBAR.
I don't think the solution your were hoping for exists....

What you could do is buy a cheap bluetooth TRANSMITTER from amazon - make sure it has a lead to connect to your headphone socket on the TV. Then the soundbar can connect to the bluetooth transmitter signal.
