Solar panels

Hello, 
I have received a quotation as part of Green Energy grant for Solar Thermal Hot Water system. 
This includes:- 
1 Barilla F20 Flat Plate
150L Worldheat Single Coil Combi cylinder
Combi-Solar Valve (for thermal with combi boiler)
Question is there is only 1 panel going on the roof will that be enought to heat the water? Also does heat the central heating systen or just the water? 
I have also seen solar thermal  panels is that just fot the electricity? 
Is there anything good I can have for the heating?

Don't expect to much from it. Not much financial saving. Variable results. Will not heat your home. But it is green.

Do post on the mse forum green and ethical area. Lots of good responses can be had there.
