All of a sudden I can't make a comment on YouTube .. even on my own videos

This morning I am unable to leave a comment on any YouTube video, even on my own videos.
I can type a comment, but the 'comment' button is all grey and not clickable. the 'Cancel' button is normal .. the wee hand pops up when the cursor moves over it
i can't even comment on my own videos, so if somebody leaves me a comment I can't reply .. what's going on please

    What have you tried so far? Cleared your cache and cookies? Tried a different browser?

    can you log into google eg access a gmail account etc ?

    when you bring up chrome, does it show you as logged in ?

    Yes I am logged into my account .. logged out and logged in again .. no change

    All sorted .. watched a YouTube video and deleted all cookies
