Urgent Help Required_Notice of Enforcement_Related to ULEZ

Hello all,
I had visited London on 29/12/2019 in my non-compliant ULEZ vehicle. I did not pay the charge because back then I had confused it with congestion charge and assumed it was not required on a Sunday.  Subsequently, a warrant has been issued for me on 08/06/2020, and I have received a notice of enforcement (CDER GROUP) today at my address. However, I never received any mails about the issue until now.
Appreciate if you could suggest the way forward.

I updated my driving license to my new address in October 2019 but I did not update the address on V5C. Therefore, I am not sure if the letters has been gone to old address, but not sure how it has come to my correct address now.

I am pretty upset about how things have progressed to this stage without any effort until now to reach me.
  • I spoke to the company and they have told me it is because my V5 was not updated. It is my human error and i am responsible for paying it. i guess have to take it ...absolutely fuming with myself.

well they did send communication to the address that they had on file -- be thankful you aren't getting fined for failure to update the info on the V5

have you updated it now ?

Keep you fingers crossed that you don't have anymore nasty surprises awaiting you - might be worth checking on the DVLA site to see if you have any offences with points on your licence that you weren't aware of

I check that on my license regularly and got no surprises there. But, just gutted with this last minute surprise. Just miffed that they cannot crosscheck the address with driving license (which was correct). I get law is law, but seems unfair for an unintentional error.

Checking the reg. number gives them the name and address of the registered keeper.
How do you suggest those could be used to find your licence details, since it would show a different address?

  • Is there  a way to find out if I have any other outstanding issues/notices for my car registration  number?

Only by asking at your old address if there is any post for you, did you have re-direction?  If so that should have sent stuff about this to you.

As @Car_54 says - that would just give them the details of the registered keeper, they have no way to connect it to a particular driver
