Just read in another post on another topic (so cannot verify its accuracy) that the Metro Bank Cash Account gives you a debit card but does not allow direct debits to be set up on it...0

It solves the DD issue, provided that there is zero need for any DDs. The snags are that you need to visit a Metro shop to apply, and the Post Office doesn't support any Metro accounts.jsmith9 said:Just read in another post on another topic (so cannot verify its accuracy) that the Metro Bank Cash Account gives you a debit card but does not allow direct debits to be set up on it...1 -
I bought my parents a Truecall around 6 weeks ago for exactly this reason. It has been the best £100 spent on them. No longer do they get any sales calls yet family and friends can get straight through and other callers can announce themselves and they decide whether to accept them. Would highly recommend it.
