EPC Cavity wall insulation

Hi, we’re looking at getting air source heating so checked we had loft and cavity wall insulation (we have both). When the guy came to do our EPC cavity insulation is still a recommendation as he assumed it was original insulation (it isn’t) and wouldn’t listen to me or look at the email from the cavity insulation company. We will now most likely not get the RHI unless we can find a way to amend the EPC or get an exemption from a chartered surveyor. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?

There are specific evidence requirements that assessors have to see to be able to input cavity insulation - it may be that the email wasn't sufficient.
The assessor has to have a complaints procedure. Make a formal complaint about it, and then raise with their accreditation body (will say it on the EPC) if the assessor doesn't resolve it. At the very least you will get confirmation of what level of evidence is needed to include the cavity wall insulation.0
