Also I checked and I was in debit to them, so I've gone from paying £100 per month to £170 a month to keep in credit . I'm not sure why my electricity bills are so high as my mums house isn't big .0

Don't rely on it. Read the meter - keep your own records, download the monthly statements - read and understand them. What annual consumption figure did you give Bulb ?
What is the electric heating in your mum's house ? Storage rads/ underfloor/ panel heaters /(hopefully not magic dust ones)
Read your meters ASAP please - the new Smarts would have been at 00000.0 when installed (when ?)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill2 -
I shall have a look at the meter reading tonight . My mum just has normal looking radiators , no underfloor heating but we do have a lot of lights, we have spot lights in most rooms but before my dad left he put special energy saving light bulbs.0

Thank you - the meter readings will help. Taking in the responsibility of your mum's bills is not easy.
Some of the modern meters can be difficult to read - watch out for the decimal point and ignore the numbers after it.
If your meter has a small keypad - press button 9 to get the reading.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
If the meter was installed recently by Bulb then it will be SMETS2. I believe that Bulb offers its customers the Chameleon IHD/CAD6 which also connects to the Chameleon Cloud. Meter readings are clearly displayed in the IHD on the Meter Info page.Robin9 said:Thank you - the meter readings will help. Taking in the responsibility of your mum's bills is not easy.
