Breakfast Bars

I'd like to make some homemade breakfast bars to eat on the way to work....
Ideally low sugar and lower carb, healthy and filling...
Does anyone have any go to recipes?

Hi I would take a generic flapjack recipe and add dried fruit, homemade granola, nuts, other cereal as wanted. Using xylitol instead of sugar adds to the gi rate.
    Hope that helps

    You've had suggestions and comments.
You only posted both threads less than 2 days ago and it's between Christmas and New Year.
Maybe give people a little more time.

Casting the net wide, no harm in that.  Thanks for your help.

    Pretty standard on public forums.

Have you looked at the 'eat well for less' recipes I mentioned?

Congrats on your promotion to board guide.  Oh wait.... Also pretty standard on public forums to be polite.  Did you miss that memo?

And yes I have looked.  Thanks.

    My apologies.
I appear to have offended you. I simply thought a little patience might serve you well.
Good luck with your "low sugar and lower carb, healthy and filling" recipes.

You haven't offended me at all.
Getting some good results now so plenty of recipes to try.

The main problem with breakfast bars is they need something to hold the dry bits (the fibre, nuts, seeds etc) together and this most usually takes the form of sugar in one form or another - honey, dates etc
Is time, money or healthiness your biggest requirement? In my experience you can only have 1 or 2 of the 3!
