I am trying hard to work out what clothing I *need* for a year's wearing... I want to end up not having major gaps, ie I want a raincoat for rainy milder weather (my wool jumpers and shawls are fine for rainy/snowy cold months), and I keep finding more and more areas where what I would like is not what i have, and I am realising that a lot of my past buying was in an effort to buy something that isn't sold, iyswim, so I kept buying nearly-but-not-quite and then still wanting, so buying a different nearly-but-not-quite...
My short knee-length less-full linen skirt has been a great success - I absolutely *live* in it these days! Now I want to make a copy in another fabric.
I had bought a very odd fancy shirt years back because I liked the stripes' colours, and last week finally got round to taking off the three enormous tie-bows and stitching up the odd open back-seam, and removing completely the ghastly blousing too-tight sleeves at the shoulder-seam which was bafflingly four inches down the arm.... anyway, I've ended up with a lovely cap-sleeved blouse, very neat and lovely for everyday and again I am living in the thing, so I definitely want to make copies of that.2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

No clothing spends to report although I am battling browsers remorse from Age Uk shop over a men's shirt, size medium with a most epic print on it (black with sharks of yellow, mint and raspberry pink - somewhat rockabilly/rock punk in style, but I lack the skill to refashion it but it would have been a delightful addition to my weird and wonderful aesthetic.... I've even text my mum to see if she could maybe do it but it might be beyond her capabilities

How sweet of you @Laura_Elsewhere.
I'd be quite happy with it being resized into just a boxy shirt style for my size (I'm quite small but do wear oversized things).
I've visions of black jeans and biker boots, and the shirt and some chunky silver jewellery (I refuse to dress for my age group - clearly)Wealth is not measured by currency9 -

Laura, thanks for the advice on Fabsil, I'll give it a go as I really like the coat formerly known as waterproof and would love it to live another day.6

So…unless I’m planning on buying a whole new wardrobe this fall, I need to start paying more attention to what I eat. Must eat more veggies and less starch and sweets!
I also need to decide if I’m going to actually make the skirt I bought the material for last year - It will be fabulous for the fall, but I hate making things when I’m hoping (whether reasonably or not!) I’ll need a smaller size by the time I actually finish it!2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66. Nightdress - 6 = 60 remaining.4 -
I am 100% with you there TwibbleDee.
My undergarments are getting to the stage of uncomfortably tight
Maybe I should try eating on the ration instead!Wealth is not measured by currency6 -
Most of my clothes have been a bit tight for years - this last year is the first time my weight has edged down in aeons! Sloooow, but...
