That's beautiful, @dreamyd! Both the style and the colour. There must be a good many hours invested there!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

thankyou @Cherryfudge and @PipneyJane - it kept me sane during online meetings. My attention wanders dreadfully if I'm in a meeting, and a suitable angling of the camera keeps it hidden!
This is the link https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fleurette-jacket - as you can see I only used the bottom lace pattern

I had to laugh at it keeping you sane during online meetings! How nice to have something productive to show for them.I would need something very plain to be able to create while making any sort of sense at a meeting, so I'm impressed by you doing something with 4 ply and a pattern! Do you have another project in mind/on the go?

I haven't done many lace-style patterns , and the only way I managed it was by making my own colour coded chart for the repeat on squared paper , using a paperclip to slide up and down the chart to keep track of my place. I also made a point of never stopping in the middle of a row..
My next pattern is this - the v-neck version

I've just bought some lovely wool from the charity shop; 55% merino wool, 25% fine alpaca, 20% Donegal tweed, in a dull, mossy kind of green with a few flecks, it feels absolutely beautiful and I couldn't resist it!
Upside - £1.50 for 100g, and no coupons
Downside - what can I make with just 100g? Just to add, I have tried knitting in the round several times and can't get the hang of it at all, so whatever I make will have to be on two needles.
Any suggestions?

I think that cardi will be great and will give you plenty of mileage - my preferred style (V-neck with a bit of a waist), and a colour that goes with practically everything. Just don't do the button holes while you're in a meeting because the meeting will suffer.Looking forward to seeing how it goes!
@Nonnadiluca is this the one? If so you have a great saving, though don't go following in my footsteps and having to order lots more at full price! If you scroll down this page, which is the 'Yarn line' link included on the previous link, there are lots of patterns though for most you might have to invest in more of the same yarn or a complementary colour. Looks as though it's still available, though.
Well, I'm off to work soon till tomorrow afternoon and my wool hasn't arrived yet so knitting might well be on hold till I get back from another clearing session at my parents' old house on Tuesday.
