ECP tend not to sue over single PCNs so ignore it if you can't get the stupid thing cancelled.
Thanks for the reply Coupon-mad.... The car park is not a retail park. I will try and identify the land owner, but I think it may be ECP?? Out of interest apart from the threat letters I need to expect what is the likely outcome from small claims should they pursue? Is is the full charge (£100) plus legal (£50) and court (£25) fees, or could they claim astronomical costs for barristers, travel etc?Coupon-mad said:Plan A is NOT admitting to driving...come one, just get it cancelled like you could have all along, assuming this was a retail park. Just read other threads, we answer that every week and it is becoming tedious that people think high costs are at stake.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There are some bad reviews about this car park on google. You may be able to find out from Facebook who owns the car park. If it is owned by a shop then try Plan A because it is the easiest way to get the ticket cancelled.torvil said:Brewery St

3. the number on the signage was called and an operative spoken to who stated "not to worry as the app suggested that the charge had been paid but could not confirm this or never offered to take further payment"
You would have evidence on your mobile phone records that you had called the number plus you tried to make payment by the machine. You may even have evidence from your bank that a payment was attempted.
As mentioned above I would try plan A if at all possible as it will not be hanging over you.
As mentioned this company has not pursued many motorists through the courts so unless they change their MO it is unlikely that they will pursue beyond debt collection letters. If you do receive a Letter Before Claim then you will need to take some action. It is costly for a PPC to pursue a motorist through the courts and there is no guarantee of the outcome so some companies just focus on the motorists that pay up easily.

There are bad reviews on google about the car park.
They say in the rejection to your appeal that other people used the ticket machine at the same time. That could be a bluff. If the claim does go to court they will have to produce that information.
This claim could be defended but it may not even come to it.

There'll be a million and one others in the queue before the OP. Issuing the best part of a million tickets every year, yet the number of court cases you can count on one hand, there's more chance of winning The Lottery.Snakes_Belly said:https://www.yell.com/biz/brewery-street-shopping-centre-rugeley-1548909/

Could be owned by Barberry Estates Limited. The PPC are not paying business rates so unlikely to be the landowner.
Also write to Amanda Milling MP. She will respond.
