Section 75 Protection - Query

Hi All,
Hope you're all having a nice Christmas. Quick question, please?
I am looking to double glaze my rental property as it needs updating! I have sourced a reputable Company and they are asking for a 10% deposit - I was going to pay the 10% deposit (only) with my credit card to ensure that I have Section 75 Protection - will this work? The 10% works out to just over £600.00 - or, will I need to pay the whole balance on a credit card in order to have the protection? The rest of the balance I was going to pay on a debit card but I can do this on a credit card if need be!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Yes, you only need to put the deposit on the credit card, if you are a consumer. You should check with your card provider if they'd cover what is a business purchase, though.1

Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 also works for 'individuals' who are perhaps running a business.3
