Hello Everyone.
I'm a little early with a new thread for 2021 but I thought why not get ahead.
I am so pleased that we will soon be leaving 2020 behind us. What a year.!!! So many have suffered so much and, whilst, I appreciate the pandemic is not over yet, at least as we look ahead we can see a small glimmer of light at the end of what has been, for so many, a very long dark tunnel.
So many of us entered 2020 with such high hopes. It wasn't just a new year, it was a new decade full of hope and we were all excited. 2020 was the year we would transform ourselves and our lives, the year that we would make our dreams come true, the year we would change our stars.
But covid put a stop to all that. For so many of us that just didnt happen, we got sad, perhaps we ate too much, maybe we didn't exercise enough, maybe we just got disheartened and demoralised.
Maybe some of us just lost our mojos. .......I know I did for a while. 😂. Luckily I found it again.....just in the nick of time, before my mood sank too low.
Anyway, whether we succumbed to the general mood of doom and gloom which seemed to permeate so much of life during 2020 or whether we managed to save our sanity and our equilibrium it's now time to look to the future, to start making plans and to start thinking of what we want - for our families and loved ones of course but also for ourselves too. Don't we deserve that, are we not worth it too.
Now more than ever, it's time to cherish ourselves. So,....let's get to it.
Can you believe this thread is now entering its 10th year. For me it has been an extraordinary decade.......my husbands illness and decline that saw him admitted to a nursing home, his subsequent death. Overcoming the threat of financial Armageddon. My parents deaths, two major car crashes, 4 house moves, my sons meeting their princesses and the arrival of two grandchildren. Phew what a ride, a real rollercoaster and all rounded off by Covid.

But do you know what.....I'm ready for more. 😂. Ready for the challenges, good and bad, that lie ahead. I firmly believe that the tide has turned at last and that the best is yet to come.
As many of you know, each year I chose a word or phrase to guide me and be my inspiration. This year that word is "intention".
I want to live with intention. I want to make decisions and follow them through. I want to stop procrastinating, putting things off, making excuses for not doing stuff. I want to live with purpose and not allow life to drift by. I am ready to start grasping opportunities, and grabbing life.
Like many I have spent most of this year in self isolation. I am so done with that. I feel that I want to make up for all that lost time. Just as soon as it is safe to do so I intend to start getting out and about, socialising and having fun, maybe even a holiday. But at any rate I want to take it up a gear and start living life at full throttle again.
It will be my 70th birthday and my goal for this landmark birthday is Sensational at 70. I have just 6 months to achieve that goal.
Let the games begin.

Woo hoo, looking forward to seeing everyone on the new thread, after a difficult 2020.
I’ll pop back later with my plans for 2021.0
