5 year Nephew £1k best options for S&S ISA for long term Growth .,

Looking to invest £1k for long term growth for my 5 year old nephew .

Will be using a S&S Isa setup by his dad  and  looking for a buy and forget approach and due to the timescale should be able to handle some volatility .

Was thinking of SMT and baillie gifford global discovery split 50/50 .

Would this be sensible or should I just stick with a tracker .

Thanks

  • SMT and the Discovery are higher risk imo, but then potentially higher reward as you will see in the last 10 years performance with a change of strategy of SMT.

VWRP or any cheap FTSE all world tracker should get you a good average return, longer term.
