NOW TV Stick

This is really stupid! I've got a NOW TV stick for christmas which tells me to plug it into the TV, select a network which now wants my Wireless password. OK so far but my password is a mixture of lower case and capitals. How do I get the NOW remote to type capitals?  Can anyone help please?

There is a shift button on the on-screen keyboard.

No shift button on the keyboard that comes up with the NOW TV stick. That's my problem.

    Can you post a photo?
There should be an upwards arrow (shift until next key press ) & an upwards arrow in a box (shift until you select again to turn off).

From memory its the top left hand side of the keyboard.

  • Thank you so much for your help. I just didn't realise the arrow key was the shift key. Once KxMx pointed that out I was away so thank you so much I have never ever come across an arrow being a shift key before.

    Me neither :disappointed:

Careful with that yellow arrow though, it's not double shift :)

"The shift key's name originated from the typewriter, where one had to press and hold the button to shift up [hence an up arrow] the case stamp to change to capital letters; the shift key was first used in the Remington No. 2 Type-Writer of 1878; the No. 1 model was capital-only.  ...  [The up arrow] symbol is commonly used to denote the Shift key on modern keyboards (especially on non-US layouts and on the Apple Keyboard), sometimes in combination with the word “shift” or its translation in the local language. This symbol also is used in texts to denote the shift key. "
