Kindle Fire 2 registration issues

Options
Any Kindle experts on here? I have just passed my seven year old Kindle Fire 2 onto my daughter.

Deregistered before doing so.

She cannot register it to her amazon account. Both my Wife and I have registered it to our Amazon accounts and registers with no issue. Tried the daughter's again and get registration error. Does not match an amazon account. And she is logged into her Amazon account on a laptop.

Any suggestions?

She could sign into her Amazon account on her computer and register the Kindle via the 'Manage your Device and Contents' tab.

Alternatively, she could register is via Amazon chat or by contacting hem.

If you’re passing your Kindle on to a family member, you should set up Amazon Household. This way you both keep your own Amazon accounts but you’re able to share any Kindle purchases either of you make

  • Going via 'Manage your Device and Contents', it did not recognise the Kindle

Going though her Amazon home page, typed 'Kindle help Manage devices' to find a help section towards the bottom. Followed this through and ended up on a 'chat'. Fours hours later and over three chat operators we got there. Basically Chat operator linked the Kindle to her account.

    Thanks for the advice
