    Well,you did ask.
Electric always will be much more expensive than gas,as you state that you can afford it crack on.
Only you can decide what is appropriate or otherwise for you in your property.

The intention is to give this system a try, if it costs £300-£400 a month it won't bankrupt me, just cost alot. If that is the case then I can do some calcs to see how much the cost is to switch to Gas, I have no idea if it is possible - I imagine it will be as other properties in the street have Gas.
Yes, do look into a quote for gas connection. A CH system will add value to the house and be cheaper to run. Does seem a little odd that a five bed property with Economy 7 is kitted out with electric radiators.

If they’re in fairly small rooms with double glazing, one external wall and insulation, they can work well. Have them on low and only when needed.
For heating a large open plan area, that’s when they could be working quite hard and running up the costs.
I have four heating my 3 bed semi detached property at the moment.

Op. As you have stated this is your dream house / location etc. You will want to stamp your mark on it. You envisage being there for, a considerable time.

You asked for advice ? which appears to be install GCH.

But as you infer you can afford to pay the ECH costs etc, so good.

But perhaps, if neighbours have GCH ? it might be worthwhile getting a quote and do the calculations?

Rather than rip the property apart in a few years if ECH are unsustainable?

Anyway enjoy your new house.  :)

And before any Green eco rules forbid GCH installations

I'd consider ground source heat pump  solar panels and powerwall. Charge the powerwall on EV tariff really cheap and use that and solar to run GSHP. Big investment but ideal for making the dream home dreamy.

Homes with GCH will become even more valuable once they are a diminishing resource
