Painting satinwood over gloss

Options
I want to paint over all the gloss paint in my house with Dulux Trade satinwood paint. What is the best way to do this so it doesn't peel on areas which are touched often such as the bannister rail

Clean down carefully, maybe sugar soap, possibly sand down but I don't usually. I am not a professional painter though.

Sand down to key in the new paint, should paint over no problem

As above, lightly sand, doesn't need much you're just trying to "key" the surface then a couple of coats of the Satinwood.
