Hi,
Has anyone had any luck with reclaiming from Amigo? Unfortunately I took out a loan in 2012, I can’t find any info on my account now i.e account number and my online account is closed. I didn’t think I could put in a claim as now over 6 years but it’s just been added to my ClearScore report because a lender had shared some information relating to an old report and it states my account was closed in 2015.
would I still be able to put in a claim?

Yes, some people have.
You would need to put in your complaint or a SAR to see what information they still hold on you.1 -

Remember, you are not "reclaiming" anything, you are not owed anything. You put in a miss-selling complaint, detailing why you feel they should not have lent to you / why the guarantor was unsuitable and see what they say1 -
Your ship has partially sailed on this one unfortunatly. As of 21/12/2020, Amigo have applied to the high court for a "scheme of arrangement", the same as many payday lenders have, to avoid insolvency, and to limit the amount of redress payable in cases of upheld mis-selling complaints. You can still complain, but you must be quick, they have a backlog of 25.000 complaints to wade through, and are asking the FCA to allow them to stop dealing with them for the time being, which is unlikely to happen, and could hasten their demise in my opinion.Should the process continue, any redress that may be offered is likely to be at a similar level to Wonga/Payday Express etc, which managed approx 4.2%.Apparently over 88% of complaints submitted to the FOS about guarantor lenders, have been upheld, which is why they are now struggling to survive. As always, Debt Camel provides excellent advise here -

I had read about this. The only reason I hadn’t applied earlier was because I thought I was not within the time frame of 6 years, can only see what happens I suppose. Thanks for the help!0

They agreed to repay after the ruling me but strangely havent yet (outside of their 30 day period & now getting the we're in the !!!!!!,join the queue message), I hope they arent going to try and wriggle out of it otherwise the baliffs will be visiting. Good riddance to moraly bankrupt companies like wonga, amigo soon to follow.1 -
