Can a usb charging hub be used to power equipment

As above, will a usb charging hub be suitable to power several home office items?  Me and the Mrs share a desk and need multiple ports to charge and power items - was thinking something like this from amazon:

Anker [Compact 10-Port Charger PowerPort 10 (60W 10-Port USB Charging Hub) for iPhone Xs/Max/XR/X / 8/7 / 6 / Plus, iPad Air 2 / mini 3, Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge and More

Need to power things like desk lights, led monitor backlights, few different charging leads etc

In theory, yes. If it can be powered by USB already something like that just replaces a need to tie up USB ports on a computer.

If it's mains powered one then yes , i assume that you are not talking about a USB powered hub.

It's a mains powered charging hub.

Obviously charging speed will depend on the number of devices connected as there is a 12A limit.

You need to add up the total current consumption (or wattage) of all devices that you will use simultaneously and check that they do not exceed the Anker specifications.
