Parking fine and debt collectors

Hello
I am new to this forum and page. I’ve had a look through the newbie thread but it’s all quite overwhelming as I’ve never been in this situation before.
I am new to this forum and page. I’ve had a look through the newbie thread but it’s all quite overwhelming as I’ve never been in this situation before.
I am wondering if anyone can help me with the following situation.
I received a parking ticket from MET, I appealed, I lost and now I’m receiving communication from ZZPS. I didn’t appeal to POPLA once I’d lost the initial MET appeal. There is no option for me to appeal to ZZPS. Would anyone be able to impart some wisdom about what I should/shouldn’t do? The fine has gone up substantially. Do I keep ignoring letters from ZZPS? Also, the letters are going to a different address that I no longer live at. Do I request the new residents do a RTS? What are my rights here?

The NEWBIE sticky is quite specific that you ignore debt collectors letters, (just keep then in a safe place as evidence of unreasonable behaviour) for later in the process. The NEWBIE also says that Plan A (complain to landowner/retail unit) in the first instance. Whilst you have appealed and it has been rejected there is no reason why you cannot complain and request a cancellation. Which is the PPC, what type of car park was it? You are waiting for a proper letter before/of claim and then you can come back and read the NEWBIE sticky second post all about what might happen and when.5

Thank you for your input.
It is incredibly misleading as the street which I received a ticket on actually falls under council jurisdiction. However, MET have some private parking spots on this street. Do you think it would be wise to therefore complain to either council or registered land owner? The PPC was the yellow type that they stick on the windscreen.1 -
Yes complain to all and sundry
You cannot appeal to zzps , ignore zzps and ignore all debt collectors
Email a data rectification notice to the DPO at MET with a change of address , attaching a copy of the V5C log book as proof of I D under the GDPR law , to erase your old address and to only use your current address from now on
Met have 6 years to issue a court claim pack from the CCBC in Northampton
It's not a fine , it's a PCN , for say £100 tops , so whatever that figure was , it remains at that figure , never changes , never increases , never goes higher than the original PCN charge , never more than £100
The extra charges are not lawful3 -
By PPC I meant which company but I now see you put MET in the OP - missed that. What sort of street is it? A public street that anyone can drive down? Are there yellow lines? Does the street go through a housing area? I don't understand how a private parking company can have anything to do with parking on a public street. Maybe MET look after the ticketing for the council. Might be worth a chat with the council.6

You’ve both been so incredibly helpful - I can’t thank you enough. I’ve been trawling through the web trying to get some clarity all afternoon so I appreciate the responses very much!In response to Le Kirk, it’s a street which goes through a housing estate. On the council website, a valid residents parking permit appears to cover this street too. It is listed on the website. However, MET also have a few sneaky small signs up which aren’t that visible - hence the confusion.1

And you can safely ignore MET (unless they break the habit of a lifetime and start suing people). They are very benign.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
