eBay Big Christmas Charity Sell
Options
Can anyone help me to get eBay to 'cough up' in support of charity.
I listed my late father's mobility scooter under eBay's Big Christmas Charity Sell but despite the sale going through on 17th December (before the eBay promotion end of 20th), eBay are refusing to honour the deal because they claim my listing should have been placed between 4th & 7th December! I had read promotional material (placed in magazines) as well as eBay's own press release (https://www.ebayinc.com/stories/press-room/uk/ebays-big-christmas-charity-sell-launches-to-help-charities-raise-vital-funds-as-over/ and the fundraising.co.uk website https://fundraising.co.uk/2020/12/01/ebay-launches-big-christmas-charity-sell-fundraising-initiative/ and there is no mention of any listing restriction. I pledged 100% of the sale to charity, yet because of eBay's small print restriction, the charity will be deprived of £100's.

So I presume you've received the money you sold the item for? Couldn't you just donate directly?2
