Savings account with a financial goal

Hi, is there a savings account where you can set a goal and so you cannot withdraw until that goal is reached? I have some things I want to buy and I'm terrible at saving. Thanks.

Your best bet will probably be a regular saver account that doesn't allow withdrawals, although these will typically require you to build up the balance over a fixed 12-month period rather than until reaching a specific figure.

Who knows, the OP may just have described a new type of savings account that some savings providers may be interested in providing in the future? Meanwhile I would fully agree that a regular saver that doesn't permit withdrawals is the best idea for now.0
