Ebay Permanent item location UK

Options
Do any members know how to fix Ebay so that the item location just stays on the UK all of the time, I get fed up resetting it. I have Googled this problem without success. I'm sure that my PC was set up this way but I had to do a reboot and now I have lost the permanent UK item location.
TIA

I'm not sure what you mean, do you mean your location? if so just double check that the address they have for you is correct in all the various places ebay store it. If you mean the ebay site that you log into then just make sure you always log into ebay UK and not ebay.com.

if it is the search location that is wrong, then it will readjust every time you log out, so when you log in and before you search for items just re set the search on the Left hand margin to UK only.

  • Thanks for that soolin, but I am after a way where you do not have to keep re-setting for UK only. The frustrating part is that I once did have a way of permanantly setting it, but after my PC glitch last weekend I am no longer able to either do it that way or find out where the original tip was.

Sorry then I don’t know how to make the search criteria permanent , I have to reset every time I do a new search .

Solution for this is to save a BOOKMARK in your browser of your search page when you enabled your filters already.
For example this URL https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=Candy&LH_PrefLoc=1 will search for "candy" with UK only item location, filter is enabled permanently in that link and easy to figure as "&LH_PrefLoc=1" part in the URL.
Once you click your bookmark, you can search for other things and filtering will be preserved. You can place it in your browser toolbar as "eBay UK Search" for example and this will work excellently.

  • Many thanks for that patient invester, I'll give it a go later.

    Just searched for this.
You can do this by selecting "customise" from the filters menu and choosing "lockable filters". From then on there is a padlock icon next to the item location option. Click it and it's done. For good.
