Hi all, well just into conveyancing on a property that i initially loved.
So far have found out the estate agent has made a mistake re allocated parking.it appears its not allocated although there are car number plate screwed to the wall indicating the flat numbers.
The parking seems to be on a first come basis. With no parking restrictions or enforcement.

Is there any else i need to consider, Thank you for your time.

    There y'go, allocated.

    Just... nothing enforcing that allocation.

Remember that the only enforcement legally allowable is to have a lot of signage, and a parking management company issuing penalty charge invoices. Those invoices are so widely dismissed that MSE even has a forum dedicated to helping people evade the consequences of their abuse of other people's land.
  • That sounds like a whole headache of issues ahead of you re parking and the conversion building works, definitely look at other places.
  • I'd look for somewhere else. Apart from the parking headaches do you want to live between two building sites and two HMO properties which are possibly not going to be particularly well looked after?
  • I currently live next door to an HMO and I would run for my life it were me. Parking nightmares, smoking outside in the summer so it's difficult to keep windows open, visitors, slamming doors, music, shouting, etc etc. You get the picture. I'm currently renting and moving in Jan, I absolutely wouldn't buy next to one.
