Has anyone grown a pomegranate in the UK?

I have seen a frost hardy pomegranate tree which I am tempted to order. I live in the south, there is a sheltered sunny spot it could go, and according to the online shop, they manage to fruit. However, I've never heard of anyone growing them in the UK.
People local to us do grow peaches, if that helps.
TIA

I'd check online that the plant they are selling is in fact the frost hardy/suitable one.You have to love pomegranates to work on them and be patient
But it would be interesting to know if really fresh fruits taste better than the ones you buy.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

After some more thought I'm going to go with a nectarine in the same spot - a fruit I like far more and which I know people grow successfully around here!0

You can grow them in UK, need shelter. I have seen them at RHS Wisley in the walled garden, and even there it was nothing like the ones from greengrocersWise move on the nectarine, just beware of peach leaf curl, killed my peachHere's a pomegranate at RHS Wisley, taken this Autumn. As you can see it is a long way from ripening, if ever
