New switch request to cancel it made but not by me?

I'm a few days into a switch request through Cheap Energy Club. I got an email today and a call from the new supplier saying I'd cancelled the switch which I did not. Anyone any experience of these kind of errors or knowledge of what might have happened.

    Are you sure you were switching the right supply.
    It's not unknown for details to get messed up, and someone quickly cancels the switch when they get told their supply is being switched without their knowledge.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
